Delete your Saisha Health account
Saisha Health, published by Maelle Health Technologies Pvt Ltd.
How to delete your account, in the app
- Open Saisha Health and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Review what will be deleted and what is kept.
- Confirm with the one‑time code we send to your registered phone.
- Press and hold Delete my account to confirm.
What happens after you request deletion
- Your account is deactivated straight away, and there is a 7‑day grace period. You can cancel any time during it — from the app’s Deletion scheduled screen — with a one‑time code. Cancelling restores full access with no data loss.
- After the grace period, erasable data is removed.
- Deletion completes within 30 days of your request (this includes removing data from backups).
- Any active care plans or consultations are forfeited. Deletion is permanent.
- Signing up again with the same phone number creates a brand‑new account. Nothing from the deleted account is restored.
What is deleted
- Your profile details — name, phone number, email address, date of birth.
- All your cycle, symptom and health tracking data.
- Your app activity and preferences.
- Your sign‑in identities, sessions, devices and push tokens.
- Your copies of chat messages and uploaded files.
What is kept, and for how long
Some records can’t be erased — we’re legally required to keep them.
| Data | On account deletion | Kept for | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Profile, auth identities, sessions, devices, push tokens | Erased | — | — |
| Cycle / symptom / health tracking data | Erased | — | — |
| Doctor–patient communications (chat, attachments, video records), prescriptions, care plans | Retained, frozen | 3 years | Clinical record-keeping + evidence preservation |
| Payment, invoice, order records | Retained, frozen | 8 years | Indian tax and company law |
| Safety reports + evidence | Retained, frozen | 90 days post-resolution (extended by legal holds) | Platform safety |
| Any class under legal hold | Withheld | withheld until the hold releases, then processed per this matrix | Legal obligation |
| Analytics | Deleted or anonymised | — | — |
Retained records are unlinked from your profile, access-restricted, and used only to meet these obligations. In rare cases some data may be kept longer where the law requires it.
Records of your consultations and communications with practitioners are kept for 3 years as required for clinical record-keeping, in a form no longer linked to your profile.
Payment records are kept for 8 years as required by law.
If any of your data is under a legal hold, that data is retained until the obligation ends and is then handled per the schedule above. In that case you’ll see: “Some data is retained to meet legal obligations.” We can’t share the specific reason.
